Tuakau Bridge

On Anzac Day, Wednesday the 25th April, we went on a day trip to Port Waikato and Sunset Beach.

We stopped before Tuakau Bridge which is over the Waikato river and I took some photos. A wild place with some nice views.

For this trip, its essential you pack a picnic lunch and a thermos for coffee and tea or hot drinks and bring cold water and milk if wanted with you.

See for your self.

View of the other side of the Waikato river

Some farm houses here. A lonely place a long way from supplies.

Reflections of a tree and an old boat in the Waikato river

There is a path that leads to the water, for people to launch their boats in the river or to remove them.

Crossing Tuakau Bridge

Can you see what's coming to meet me? I gave way to this wide vehicle even though its a 2 way road.
