Last part where I write about my boat trip to Venice’s Isles. The last one I visited was Burano, known for the lace work and the characteristic colored houses. The inhabitants can’t change the color of their home without the permit of the governement. There are different theories why houses have different colors. One says that the colors helped sailors to find their home during the misty days: the other says that the color delimited the house perimeter.
Burano has a leaning bell tower, due to earthquakes and fundaments breaking.
