Yes, there is an island of death called Poveglia. It is an unfortunate place that is supposedly cursed and very haunted off the coast of northern Italy. The island encompasses only a few acres but there are 160,000 bodies buried here. These were all victims of leprosy and the plague. You can still see the collapsed and overgrown buildings that once stood here. However, sensible people have chosen to leave this island abandoned and only the restless souls of the dead wander here.
Would you like to take a visit to see if the legend is true? If it is you would probably be faced with a scene that looked like something out of a zombie movie.
It looks beautiful on the photo but I probably wouldn’t want to visit it.
This is the first time I’ve heard of this place. I don’t think I would visit him.
i would wonder what could be found. Perhaps a chance to help some soul finish their time on earth and move on?
Now that is a good idea Doc.
i would hope that we could help those on that journey forward. some are simply there because of the disconnection of being placed n the Isle of Death, they didn’t live there in life.
There are better places in Italy and so I would not waste my time (lol)
