Sky Sunday – Clouds & Sky at Auckland Airport

This photo was taken while watching planes come and go by the Auckland airport.

On the Puhinui Road from the Auckland airport to South and South Eastern Auckland just next door to the airport are 2 car parks for viewing planes coming and going from the Auckland airport. We see both domestic planes and international planes and sometimes courier planes or private planes. The 2 car parks are on opposite sides of the road.

These clouds were there that day. People often stop their cars to watch the airport on their way to somewhere else. They eat food or drink and sit and watch planes .

    • Yes, I do, having a vivid imagination I have imagined all types of things in the clouds but with the clouds it is possible to read what the weather will be like.
      I love clouds too.
In Maori, New Zealand is called “Aotearoa” (A – O – T- Ay- Row – Ah)
      It means
“Land of the Long White Cloud”
Clouds were the first thing that the Maori people saw when they came to New Zealand in their canoes.
