We took off last Sunday and packed our lunch and coffee and headed for Kawakawa Bay.
I wanted to see Godwits and I went there and saw these migratory birds plus knots a dwarf type of Godwit and Wrybills .
However these are of the beach itself . The tide was in and everything set for good photography.
The thumbnail is the road where we came from Auckland . We live north of here.
Very nice color of the water!
