“Peace of the Past” Sign (2012-06-12 17-32-45a)

“Peace of the Past” is a bookstore located at 408 South Main Street, Galena, Illinois (JoDaviess County). Galena depends on tourism for its economy and Main Street is full of little shops and restaurants which cater to the tourists. I like signs and this one caught my eye. I assume that it is the original sign and has not been touched up since it is starting to show its age and the store had only been there for 21 years when I took the photo.

The photo was taken with a Panasonic DMC-FZ50 camera. I used ACDSee Ultimate 10.4 to adjust the lighting, boost the contrast and vibrance and sharpen a bit.
