Paddling on Lower Saint Regis Lake, Adirondacks

One of the best parts of the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) meeting at Paul Smith’s College in the Adirondacks of New York state is taking wooden canoes out and paddling them on the lake. Here Lower Saint Regis Lake is right there within walking distance. As a sailing canoe sits at the wooden dock here at Paul Smith’s College, a couple of paddlers are enjoying the lake by paddling a tandem canoe. On the dock are some Adirondack chairs waiting for you to rest and watch the beautiful view. To the left is a peninsula point that makes a great place to view the lake and take hikes.
