Paddle Making Class at the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association

When the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) meets at Paul Smith’s College in the Adirondacks of New York state, there are many classes on wooden canoe making and paddle making. They even have classes on weaving cane seats and canvasing canoes. Here is a class on double paddle making by Susan Christie showing the steps to splice wood and form the paddles.
