Little Primitive Church at Cades Cove

On Wednesday mornings in Cades Cove farm loop road in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee, it is special. This is when all car traffic is banned for half a day and you can walk or take your bicycle along the entire route of 11 miles. The road is narrow and hilly and bordered by fences. As you ride along you come to various farm houses and barns. Here we found the first Primitive Church. It’s open so you can even go inside and see it is made entirely of wood with clapboard siding. It even has a nice little cemetery where several of the famous local folk are buried.
