Lake Kerkini is located in Greece, 30 km from the border with Bulgaria.
The lake is famous for its rich flora and fauna and is one of the four best bird watching sites in Europe.
It is declared a nature reserve! The only permitted activities in it are fishing and boating for bird watching.
Well, of course, and photography : )))
For the birds that inhabit the lake, I will mention in one of my next posts.
At dawn, as we entered the lake I noticed this fishing boat against the background of the nearby forest, and in the distance was the silhouette of Slavyanka mountain.
That’s a stunning capture. Also thanks for the information.
I wonder how it will look at the end of winter…
This must be a beautiful and interesting lake-a beautiful picture of Georgi
It’s really beautiful and peaceful.
Wonderful picture – as always you share the coolest pictures!
I try to visit interesting places and show them…
Beautiful morning mist and fog picture. Reminiscent of Newfoundland surroundings. I would enjoy the tranquility of such mornings.
I’m currently negotiating with my friends to go again, but at the end of February or the beginning of March!
