Kremna, Village in Serbia

The village is a village where most of the inhabitants are engaged in agriculture. Countryside landscapes provide a rest for the soul and eye paradise, something quite opposite to the city asphalt and crowds. Hidden between the mountains, rich in the tradition of Kremna, has always been a challenge to the fans of tourism and adventure. The village of Kremna represents the center of the same area, and it is located between two mountains – Zlatibor and Tara. At an altitude of between 750 and 850 meters, where mountain and sea winds collide, lies the hidden Cream. Thanks to its ideal altitude, but also its natural wealth, primarily the coniferous plant, it was declared an aerial spa at the beginning of the 20th century. In addition to its conifers, it is rich in flower meadows, mountain streams and springs.

Kremna is an ideal rural-tourist place, offering its visitors a peaceful and healthy holiday, which complements the specialties of local cuisine. In the 19th century in this village lived Tarabici, a famed family that is believed to have been seen by the people. Spasoje Trabic and his four sons, Milos, Sava, Lazar and Milan, predicted numerous events – some of them happened, and some are still waiting.

Tarabići moved from Herzegovina to Tar, to the village of Kremna. In the vicinity of Kreman, on the road to Tara, the “Kremansko Prorocanstvo” complex, a one-room log cabin that was a kind of museum, was built. In the log cabin, one of the most interesting exhibits is the so-called “Cosmic Ball” (smooth stone ball about one meter ) According to the surrender, it is one copy of more than a million of such stones that once once dug Earth from space. The stone should supposedly radiate energy that causes clairvoyance in humans.

Tarabic allegedly predicted the invention of television, the arrival of telephone and telegraphs in Serbia, the shift on the throne of Serbia, the destruction of Karađorđević, their return to the country, the arrival of Josip Broz to power and others. The first Tarabić, who was claimed to have prophetic possibilities, was Miloš Tarabić (1809-1854). He lived for quite a short, forty-five years, “as he prophesied.”

  1. Today, Tarabic’s prophecies have left much to legends and stories. Even today, in their native village, people keep their words, so it can often be heard “If Tarabic said so, so will it be.”
