Karangahake Gorge

This is the swing bridge by Karangahake Gorge inbetween Poirua and Waihi in the Waikato region. Its a beautiful place. You need to take care driving through and be aware in places that there may be rock falls.

There are plenty of walk ways and an old railway track. There used to be a gold mine near by.

    • The Maoris saw land ownership in a different way but it’s not until it’s gone than they see the whole deal. Yes, this is a public reserve, Maoris own some land and Im not sure who owns what, but this is open to all the public.
