Hamilton Gardens – Indian Char Gardens

Another aspect of the wonderful Hamilton Gardens is a section of the Indian Char Gardens. The architecture of the buildings to show off an aspect of an ideal of Indian culture from India that has an exotic flavour of its own.

Arranged in quarters like the Italian Renaissance Gardens but a different style, you can see the fountain and the pools of water

I took this photo in winter time, but it is really spectacular when there are tulips planted in the garden.

An overall pattern in the Thumbnail photo.

Not so long ago, a tea lady was otherwise called a “Char woman”. It came from an Indian culture but no longer used as often it was used as a derogatory form for a serving woman. A lot of old attitudes now has changed for the better today. Good tea, came from India.

There is nothing inferior about good service at all and it is a joy to be in a cafe that is run by friendly hosts. It is why that the catering business is called the “Hospitality industry”, good Hospitality is a fine art. One gets to know the culture and the way others live, which broadens our world and I believe makes the world a much better place.
