The Grand-Place (Grote Markt in Flemish) is the central square in Brussels. Known worldwide for its ornamental richness, it is surrounded by the houses of the guilds, the town hall and the House of the King (Broodhuis in flamenco). It is considered one of the most beautiful squares in the world (among others, according to Victor Hugo). The Grand-Place of Brussels was inscribed in 1998 in the list of the Patrimony of the Humanity of the Unesco
