Good Harbour Beach is one of the most popular beaches on the North Shore area. Crowds of people travel from the Boston area to get a relief from the city heat. Local residents enjoy the waves and gorgeous views of Ten Pound Island On the clearest of days you can see Thatcher Island with its iconic Twin Lights, lighthouses perched like bookends on opposite sides of the island This beach was introduced to my children when they were both toddlers, inspiring their love for the ocean.

During low tides if you are daring you can walk out to Ten Pound Island, to be honest I’ve never had the nerve to go out there.
Very different from other scenes of Gloucester that I have come across. The waters feel more calm and contained, I guess.
I could sit there for hours…watching the waves crashing against the shore 🙂 this is sooooo lovely!
