Gloucester Massachusetts Good Harbour Beach

Ten Pound Island on a clear day, it got it's name from Native Americans by the price paid to the British.Good  Harbour Beach is one of the most popular beaches on the North Shore area. Crowds of people travel from the  Boston area to get a relief from the city heat. Local residents enjoy  the waves and  gorgeous views of Ten Pound Island  On the clearest of days you can see Thatcher Island with its iconic Twin Lights, lighthouses perched like bookends on opposite sides of the island This beach was introduced  to my children when they were both toddlers, inspiring their love for the ocean.
