We got up into the mountains this weekend and went hiking on Lumpy Ridge near Estes Park, CO. The first part of our trek was 1.8 miles/2.9 kilometers to Gem Lake. While I’d consider it more of a small pond than a lake, it was a lovely spot. A portion of the pond is walled off by tall cliffs, and the remainder is surrounded by forest. Enjoy the sights.
