Florence wants a better behavior from the tourists – will give fines for eating in streets

One of Italy’s most beloved tourist destinations – Florence – has announced new fines. If you snack on some streets, you may need to pay even 500 euros.

The ban has been published in four central city streets and squares – Via de ‘Neri, Piazzale degli Uffizi, Piazza del Grano, and Via della Ninna. It runs from 12 to 15 hours, and 18-22 hours Such tight measures have been taken to tame the tourists who eat just sitting on the sidewalk, on the doorstep of shops and living quarters.

The locals are angry that it’s become harder and harder to get through the overcrowded streets. In addition, such snackers usually leave behind much rubbish.
