Continuation of the Trip to Polson

Dixon

This is just as we are entering Dixon. Dixon is another tiny town with a population of about 200. There isn't a great deal in this place, except a post office, school, church, senior citizen center, a few other businesses, and homes. Still, I rather like the town. Small towns are the 'thing' in Montana and there are only a handful of population centers. Our little town, where the journey began, is actually fair sized and we have a population of between 800 and 1,000, counting everyone in the whole valley.

Believe it or not, even though there were changes in terrain, this group of images only covered about 15 miles, give or take.

    • We make this trip a couple of times to three times per month. My daughter makes most of the trip every day since she works in Ronan, which isn’t far from Polson. This particular trip was perfect for pictures, though, since it was right after the first snowstorm and everything was coated.
