Church of St Petka of the Saddlers

The church is located in the center of Sofia.

The crypt of the church is a Roman tomb from the IV century, which means that there was a previous ceremonial building.

In the 11th century, the present temple was erected on the crypt.

The oldest preserved murals are from the fourteenth century, and above them there is a layer from the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, by Pimen Zografski.
