Celebrating Swedish Midsummer

Last week, we visited our friend in Vedum, about one hour north of Gothenburg. We had a nice weekend with her family, relatives and friends. This time of the year we celebrate midsummer in Sweden. The midsummer is the longest day of the year, which means the sunrise is earlier than any other day of the year and the sunset is later than any other other day. In the Swedish midsummer we celebrate by dancing around the pole, eating ‘sill’ and drinking Swedish ‘nubbe’. And of course strawberries, a lot of strawberries.

I saw this as an opportunity to make a great video to show others the typical Swedish midsummer celebration.

Check out my other post. Thank you!
