Canoes at the Ready to Launch at Paul Smiths

Here we are at Paul Smith’s College in the Northern Adirondacks at the WCHA (Wooden Canoe Heritage Association) meeting during the summer. Here they gather about 300-400 wooden canoes for most of a week and have seminars on use, sailing, repair etc. In this photograph the canoes are just above the beach with some heavier ones on wheels, getting ready to launch on Lower Saint Regis lake. This lake leads to Spitfire lake, Upper Saint Regis Lake and many more.
