Buddha Engraving At Khao Chi Chan Mount

If you decide to visit the resort city of Pattaya, then I advise you to visit one fairly well-known place, near the city, which is about 15 kilometers away. This is the “Mountain of the Golden Buddha”. You can get here by bike, taxi or the easiest way – with a guided tour.

This image was created on a mountain in 1996, and timed to the 50th anniversary of the reign of the King of Thailand – Bhumibol Adulyadej. The ninth king died in 2016, at the age of 89. He reigned over the kingdom of Thailand for more than 70 years, and the Thais loved their king very much; for them, his death became a real tragedy.

The image is made of gold; it reaches a height of 160 meters, and in the lower part is about 70 meters wide. You will not be able to come up very close to the mountain, there are fences, the territory is protected.

This place is more important for the Thais themselves. At the time of my visit, a rather impressive group of schoolchildren was brought here.

The territory around the mountain is also fairly well equipped. Everything is pretty clean. There is a big nice park next to the mount. It’s amazing how Thais respect their faith and are ready to create such sights, which we can now admire. Entrance to the territory is free. But there is not much what to do, expect to shoot some photos and take a walk in the park.
