Love ItLove It

British Museum

Upon arriving in London, the British Museum was one of our first stops. The museum has an enormous collection of Greek and Egyptian sculptures. However, the vast majority of this collection was obtained centuries ago when the British Empire was a world power. Should the artifacts be returned to the countries of origin? According to a some (“1943 Letter Reveals…” & “Easter Islanders call…“), the answer is yes. While I don’t want to get into the debate of where these artifacts belong, I’m glad that we were able to see and appreciate these historical items when we did.
