Boardwalk to the Congaree River

Here at Conagree National Park in South Carolina the elevated wooden boardwalks are a wonderful attraction. They allow you to walk dryly over large, miles long expanses of flooded forest. Here a branch of the boardwalk goes out to the Conagree River. The walkway is so high because there is a huge fluctuation in water levels. The many Cypress trees growing here attest to the super wet conditions.
