Bhangarh Fort is situated in Alwar district of Rajasthan in India and is 300 kms away from Delhi. Considered to be the most haunted place in India, Bhangarh Fort is an abandoned and deserted place with no inhabitation in vicinity. Many paranormal activities have been witnessed here and it’s alleged that staying overnight at this place can be hazardous. The Archaeological Survey of India had put up a warning board at the fort prohibiting visitors to stay in the fort before dawn and after dusk.
According to folklore, a wizard who was well-versed with black magic fell in love with the local princess. He mixed a potion in her cosmetics to cast a spell on her but the princess came to know of it and threw the bottle on a boulder. The spell was reversed and the boulder crushed the wizard to death but before dying, he cursed Bhangarh saying that the place will be doomed forever. Soon after the fort was invaded and all the residents including the princess were killed. It has remained deserted ever since.
