Annisquam River

When I was little I hated crossing the A Piatt Andrew Bridge…it seemed so high above the water crouched in the back of my dad’s Station Wagon I was afraid we’d fall in. By the summer of my seventh year I was over the fears and in love with the beauty that surrounded me…the timeless river drifting into the salt marshes of Presson Point & Stony Cove winding along the rocky shores of the village settled by Norsemen, the village that still clings to the name the natives left behind.

  1. I grew up spending every summer in the water, litterally in the water. I don’t remember a time when I wasn’t wishing I was on or in the water.

Rivers are amazing ways to understand the complexity of ecology. What happens at the source is shared the entire lenght of the river.

    Awesome picture!
