And They are Off! At the Adirondack Canoe Race

And they are off! The early Fall morning take off of the Adirondack Classic Canoe Race or The 90-Miler starts with a distinct chill in the air. It was early Fall at about mid-September and still many people had on shorts and t-shirts in the near freezing weather. Many of these canoes were Kevlar and Carbon Fiber and held three contestants.  They will race from Old Forge in the southern Adirondacks to Saranac Lake in the northern Adirondacks over the next two days. They had packed food and water and warm clothes and most boats were heavily laden.
