A Guide to the 2019 Auckland Boat Show

The Auckland On-Water boat show is a yearly event held in New Zealand and is used to exhibit the beautiful marine offerings the country offers. Arguably the biggest on-water show in the country, the Auckland Boat Show has become an important event, attracting thousands of visitors to the country and city.

From the first show held in 1998, the Auckland on-water boat show showcases many international and domestic marine businesses, fishing seminars, exhibitions, and many boat brokers and vessel manufacturers. Timed to commence shortly before the boating season, the Auckland boat show offers visitors and Kiwis the chance to see new boating or fishing equipment and try out a new water sport.

The 2019 Auckland on Water Boat Show organised by NZ Marine Association will be a 4-day event which will hold at Viaduct Harbour, Auckland, from 3rd to 6th October, 2019. It will see many manufacturers and commercial dealers of different products such as engine parts, propellers, sailing boats, boat trailers, navigation devices, fishfinders, safety equipment, outboards, electronics, and other Marine Services. It will feature over 250 exhibitors.

If you are hoping to be a part of the 2019 boat show, here are useful tips to serve as a guide during the 2019 Auckland On Water Boat Show.

Transport

During this national event, you may find it hard to get a good parking space. So, if you are coming with your rented or personal car, book parking space ahead to save time and some money. Unless you are planning to do a heavy amount of shopping, we advise you use public transport to avoid stress.

Boat Viewings

The larger and popular boat models most times have a long waiting list for viewings. If you are interested in a particular model or brand, then you may have to book ahead of time. This will ensure you do not miss out on the viewings, you receive additional information that may not be available on the day, and you get to receive answers to your questions from the authorities.

Taking care of your guests

Look up some fun activities and exhibitions you and your friends can participate in. Visit the show’s official website and plan on what to do or places to visit to make sure the experience is fun for them.

Fishing Classes

The boat show features great live seminars for fishing. The seminars will give you a chance to interact with seasoned experts and learn more about cruising, studying weather patterns, docking, and proper boating etiquette. During the day, you can also find some willing fishermen who may take you on a jolly ride and show you how to fish. If you are coming with your kids, you should not neglect this part of the show, as they will love it.

Night Hangouts

There are many nightclubs, restaurants, and bars which are ready to keep you entertained until morning. You get to see live reggae bands rock the dock and listen to great songs by amazing DJs.
