A Desert Botanical Garden

When you think “botanical garden”, the desert environment doesn’t immediately come to mind. However, the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, Arizona may just change your thinking. We visited in November when the Arizona temperatures were mild, but the weather was significantly warmer than back home in Colorado. I was surprised by the vast amount of colors that we found throughout the gardens.

When I think “desert”, I envision a barren landscape. However, the exhibits in the Desert Botanical Garden are anything but barren. There was such a wide variety of cactus and succulents that it was difficult for my eyes to take it all in. Overall, it was a wonderful visit, and we left wishing that we had more time to explore. Above, check out some of the views from our visit.
