365 Day Photography Challenge – Huka Falls – Day 11

On our journey from Hawkes Bay to Auckland we stopped at the Huka Falls.

In Taupo there are the famous Huka Falls. It is the start of the Waikato river and the water goes from the Waikato river out to the sea.

This water falls is really powerful, and heaps of tourists come here daily. There are river cruises and jet boat cruises.

There are some great walks. This is a general view of these falls. They are not very high but the power of the water is spectacular.

    • People go White Water Rafting, which is a raft over rapids, and they also go on a Cruise boat here, plus there are Jet boat rides.
There is also bungy jumping where the jump off on ropes that stops their fall.
All of these are dangerous and probably fun.

Im not sure what river surfing is..
