This was taken from the Lookout from Huia Lookout point road.
Its the Northern end of Manukau Heads.
We went to a cafe at the bottom of the hill at Huia but we didn’t travel further this day. The cafe has very good service.
You need good concentration and patience to drive 20 minutes over gravel road to get to Whatipu over mountainous terrain. You really need a good day and to be reasonably fit to tackle Whatipu beach. That is really worthwhile but make sure you don’t leave any rubbish behind. There are rest rooms at Whatipu and that is all there is.
Such a stunning view! It’s really a pity when people pollute these beautiful places.
