Thanks Doc, Well you can only get to Bowentown from Waihi Beach further north. You drive out on flat land for quite a long distance and Bowentown is surrounded by water on 3 sides.
Across the water on one side is Pine tree island but in this case…You are looking at the main land towards the west.
Here I am standing on a high hill, very high up. The car is parked high up and I’ve had to walk another steep hill to get here for the view.
Well the view alone was worth your trek, but the story may be even cooler! Thanks Pam!!!
