Monitors have come a long way over the years

Just recently I needed to buy myself a new monitor for the PC.  I decided this time round to get myself a curved monitor, rather than the standard shaped ones.  The monitor I got was the Samsung C24F390 24 Inch LED Curved Monitor.  I bought this from Argos for £129.00.  My previous monitor was a 22″ one, and decided to go for a slightly bigger one with the 24″.

So what’s so special about the curved monitor?  Well, according to the official Samsung website, it tells you that this lets you enjoy big, bold and panoramic views.  The picture I posted is the monitor I got.  And quite frankly, I think it’s amazing.  The graphics are really bright and clear.  It is also suitable for gaming, so this suits me, as I do a lot of that.  Once I’d set it all up to my PC, I found it easy to use.  Although I found it a little confusing to start with as I couldn’t find the on/off switch – which is located at the back on the monitor.

Having a curved monitor did take me a little while to get used to as everything on the screen looks a little more out of shape, so to speak.  But when I’m playing my games, I find the experience really something.  The picture quality is really good, and I love how everything looks slightly more 3D with the curved screen.  All in all, this is a really amazing monitor, and would highly recommend it.

Has anyone else got a curved PC monitor?  What do you think of it?

  1. I am using a laptop because I am always on the go. But I am also thinking of getting a PC so that I could leave my laptop in the office and use a PC when I’m at home. I think the curve monitor is a great thing to have.
