If You Think You Have Privacy

In a previous article I had written about the lack of privacy one has on the internet and with their cell phone. I made the point that every single call, text, image you ever sent is on record at the cell company.

Because this sounds so unbelievable, most people don’t believe it.

Alas, it is true.

A few years ago, there was a case in court. There was no hard evidence against the accused. No ‘I See’, no forensic evidence.

The Cell Company presented volumes of the calls these people had made, voice and text, going back four years previous to the crime.

During the years before the crime, there were calls to girl friends, orders for pizza, discussions of whether Liverpool was a better team than Chelsea. There were discussions about school uniforms for children,  mentions of movies,  arguments over cars,  dances, songs, outfits, hairstyles…..and shortly before the crime there was a mention of certain aspects which could/could not be related to the crime.

I asked the engineer how he knew that four / five years from the start that these men would be involved in crime. He laughed, told me that every call made by everyone is captured.  Every text.   For everyone.

That all that has to happen is a request from the police and they copy every single thing.

So if you think you have privacy… think again.
