How to Make a Quiz Without Saving Draft

Most of us who make quizzes here have used the “Save Draft” option repeatedly to get around some problems of the software. Recently that option started giving an error message, and many of us reckoned it would now be impossible to make quizzes until the problem was fixed.  Maybe it will be fixed soon, or maybe it won’t. There has been no communication from Admin about it.

I figured out a way to create quizzes without the Save Draft option. It looks a little long-winded and complicated, but it’s actually straightforward. Here’s how it has worked for me:

Start creating a trivia quiz in the normal way, but for the moment do not bother filling in the title or description fields, nor the tags - you will probably lose whatever text you put there. We'll do that later.

Do the same for the rest of the questions you want in your quiz, entering Q2, Q3 etc. for the questions. 

IMPORTANT: If after you enter a question and click 'Add', it disappears, continue entering the rest of the questions regardless. Then click 'Refresh' on your browser. Remember not to click 'Save draft', or everything will be lost 🙁

After hitting Refresh, all of those questions you entered will magically appear. Now start entering the answers, again just as placemarks like A1, A2, A3 etc. If the text you enter does not appear after adding it, then hit 'Refresh' again. Keep doing this until you have the desired number of questions and answers made.

Finally, enter the quiz title and description, and tags. Cross your fingers, and hit Publish! So far I have made three quizzes this way and the method has worked perfectly. Good luck 🙂

  6. I used a similar method for polls. The only difference is that after I marked all the questions, I closed the page without saving the draft, then I returned to the draft using another method (it did not go through my head to refresh. I replaced save with close !! ?), I uploaded the pictures, wrote the title, text and answers. Your method is simpler. I’ll try it next time.
