It has only 1 mode that is it on/off. It takes 2 AAA batteries that are not included. It is a black color. The size of this flashlight is about the size of a pen maybe a bit bigger round, so it is pretty small but works great. This is a nice little hand held flash light. It fits right in your pocket. It is nice and bright and well made. It had a clip on the side so you can clip it right on your belt, pocket or work bag. I recommend.
