Cindy Marmolejos is being called a heroine in New York City for using her cellphone app to notify the local police officers that a report of a woman who suffers from dementia who wandered away from her home that is a residence for senior citizens who suffer from mental illnesses.
Cindy was inside her auto in New York City when she was looking at her cellphone when a news bulletin from the local police department was seeking anyone who had information of the whereabouts of the 68 year old missing woman.
This is amazes me of the actions that Cindy took when she saw a person that resembled the missing person on the streets of New York City that matched the description of the missing person. Cindy asked her husband when he returned from his shopping errands to drive their auto to contact a local New York City police officer to inform him of the whereabouts of the missing person.
The police officer with the assistance of Cindy and her husband were able to locate the missing woman who suffers from dementia so she could be reunited with the staff members of the mental home safe and sound.
It is possible that the reason that Cindy used her cellphone to assist the authorities in finding the missing woman is that Cindy’s grandmother also suffers from dementia.
I am sure that Cindy knows the laws o life which dictate helping someone in need will have a great reward in the future. It is nice to see people using technology the right way instead of being glory hounds
