The recent update to Windows 10 comes with a new annoyance, at least in my opinion. I hate those notifications you get in the lower right-hand corner. Email, Facebook, Twitter,…. I’ve already seen most of them by the time I get the notification anyway. Fortunately, they are easy to get rid of.
- Click on the Windows icon in the lower left corner of your screen (the left side of your Task Bar unless you’ve moved yours elsewhere).
- Click on the Settings icon. Of the three small icons on the lower left corner, stacked one above the other, it is the middle one that looks like a gear.
- This brings up the Windows Settings screen. Click on System. On mine, it’s the first option.
- Select ‘Notifications & actions.’ It should be the second option.
- Scroll through the Notifications options and turn off the ones you don’t want to see.
- Click on the X in the upper right corner to close the Setting screen.
That’s it. That’s all it takes.

That, unfortunately, I don’t know.
That’s very interesting….great to know!
Thanks. They were driving me nuts after I got the update. I figured if it was bugging me it had to be bugging others.
Great information, I will do this! We also have the add-on on the top of the screen. I want to turn the number green instead of red. How do you do that?
