I don’t know if 504 error from google play is the same as a 504 HTTP error. If it actually is an HTTP 504, I agree, it won’t fix anything on the server. Sometimes that error occurs due to the laptop issue then I contact to hp support they resolve that issue.
Actually it is no the computer or laptop system that is in trouble. It is the host of the server that fails due to heavy traffic or undergoing a system update or minor repair.
