Many years ago, when Jamaica first got on the Internet and were jumping from site to site, we found that because we are Jamaican we would be treated as inferior to Americans.
We decided to run an experiment.
We would join a message board on Delphi as Jamaicans, and join the same message board as a white 35 year old American man.
What ‘he’, this American man posted would always be given more credence than what we did.
it didn’t matter who we were, whether a doctor, lawyer, engineer, we would be treated with less respect than the American man.
To play this ‘game’ we learned how to disguise our I.P. address, create a dual, and venture forth.
