WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (42-0-1, 41 KO) retained his championship belt with a 7th round knockout of Luis Ortiz in the rematch of their 2018 fight in which Wilder knocked out Ortiz in the 10th round.

Wilder was looking for a quicker KO this time at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, NV.  He secured the knockout with a straight right that hit Ortiz on the temple.  Ortiz was not able to recover before the ten-count.
