PGA golfer sues Monsanto

With the PGA Championship being played this weekend, news about a professional golfer suing Monsanto is starting to make the rounds.  Pro golfer Gary Lindeblad has sued the agricultural giant because he contracted non-Hodgkins lymphoma from using the weedkiller RoundUp.  The golfer from Spokane, WA stated that he used RoundUp for about twenty years before he was diagnosed with cancer in 1999.

In the lawsuit, he is looking to obtain restitution for all of the hospital costs along with punitive damages for all of the pain he has dealt with over the past two decades.  Although Bayer and Monsanto are looking to secure a settlement for the thousands of lawsuits being litigated against them now, a person can still individually sue these two corporations over RoundUp.
