Our Big Ten football conference is a complete utterly mess

Watching Big Ten college football is like watching a ball in a pinball falling in a pinball machine because you never know who is going to win or lose; just like you never know which slot that steel ball is going to end up going down.

Our Big Ten conference is a complete utterly mess, but is not that the way college football should be? Besides! Who wants to see the older dominant teams still dominating in this decade?

I never would have imagined that the Purdue Boilermakers would one week defeat the Ohio State Buckeyes, then lose to the Michigan State Spartans the next.

It is quite frankly entertaining but wait because it does not stop there. The Big Ten – West is totally up for grabs because I never would have guessed that the Northwestern Wildcats would be leading the Big Ten – West. One week they struggle with a bottom feeding Rutgers Scarlet Knights team, then the next they take down a Wisconsin Badgers team, who I predicted would be a Big Ten Championship contender at the beginning of the season. Moreover, the way it is looking now the Badgers will not be anywhere near a Big Ten Championship game let alone in the top 25 rankings.

Speaking again of the Big Ten – West being led the Northwestern Wildcats, the Wildcats could lose that at any time during weeks 11-13, but one game that they need not get complacent in is their week 11 match up against the Iowa Hawkeyes, who lost to the Wisconsin Badgers! A Wildcats loss to the Hawkeyes would turn it even more into a mess.

Meanwhile, the Big Ten – East solely runs through either the Michigan Wolverines or either the Ohio State Buckeyes, which both face off on the 13th week.

Tough tests in front of them, the Michigan Wolverines have the Penn State Nittany Lions. And the Buckeyes have the Michigan State Spartans in week 11, followed by a week 12 showdown against the Maryland Terrapins, who are not one to ignore.

If the Ohio State Buckeyes look better than they did against the Purdue Boilermakers, I see an explosive showdown against the Michigan Wolverines.

As for a prediction for the week 13 match up between the Ohio State Buckeyes and Michigan Wolverines, I have to say that the Wolverines have my vote because they have yet to look flawed like the Buckeyes have, who did not look like the same team compared to the team that demolished the Texas Christian Horned Frogs or the team that spoiled a Penn State Nittany Lions “White Out” game at Beaver Stadium.
