My NBA Draft 2017 Review: Dallas Mavericks

9. Dennis Smith – PG – North Carolina State.  6’2″, 195 lbs.  (18.1 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 6.2 apg, 1.9 spg).

Smith dropped down to nine due to concerns of an ACL tear during his senior year in high school.  However, those worries should have been alleviated last season after making the ACC 1st team last season; thus, he should be fully recovered for this season.

Nevertheless, Dallas received an absolute steal at the #9 spot because a potential game-changer like Smith should not drop below five.

Grade:  A.
