My NBA Draft 2017 Review: Chicago Bulls

7. Lauri Markkanen – PF – Arizona.  7’0″, 230 lbs.  (15.6 ppg, 7.2 rpg, .423 3PT).

The Chicago Bulls begin their rebuilding process with the blockbuster trade of Jimmy Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves.  In preparing for the future, the Bulls drafted Markkanen, a perfect fit for the stretch four position at power forward.  Although he can shoot from outside, Markkanen is not afraid to go inside and be physical as well.

Grade:  B+.  Although many draft experts have the opinion that Markkanen was picked a few spots too high, grabbing a seven-footer with that type of range is necessary due to the uptempo style of the NBA.
