Huntin' Stuff

Don’t get me wrong. I am an avid hunter. I grew up believing that we might starve to death without a successful hunt. While in retrospect, it was not true, it still provided excellent incentive. Our father taught us early on that if we shoot it, we eat it. My brother had to gag down a skunk.  Now, much later in life and married, my husband, who has to do major shopping every year to go hunting. I don’t understand it. In fact, I can not even tell you what he buys, but I am sure there are many of the same things at home.

My list looks something like this food, guns,  ammo, survival stuff and hunting packs.

His shopping list was two pages long. I just dropped him off and said I would be back in two hours. I can’t wait to see what he got this time!
