Home of the Chicago White Sox

Known as Guaranteed Rate Field since October 31, 2016, but will forever be called U.S. Cellular Field by myself or Comiskey Park by others depending on which name you were initially introduced to. I always feel that the Chicago White Sox do not get the recognition they deserve in a city that is shared with the Chicago Cubs.

The Chicago White Sox are just as good as the Chicago Cubs, yet it does not get recognized. In fact, in the series between the two, the White Sox currently lead it 60-58.

As for World Series wins they are equally tied with the Chicago Cubs winning it in 1908, 1907, and 2016. The Chicago White Sox have World Series wins in 1917, 1906, and 2005. Yet, they still do not get the same recognition.

Division titles are equal too with the Chicago White Sox having West Division titles in 1983 & 1993 versus the Chicago Cubs having East Division titles in 1984 & 1989.

The only difference in accomplishments between the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago White Sox are Central Division titles. The Chicago Cubs have Central Division titles in 2003; 2007; 2008; 2016; 2017 versus the Chicago White Sox having Central Division titles in 2000; 2005; 2008. Only a two title difference between the two. So you be the judge!

As for when Guaranteed Rate Field was built, it was built 1989-1990, and located in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago Illinois.
