Don, or Donnie, was the youngest American tennis player to win all four Grand Slams in a year, and in his career (after Fred Perry). He held the title of best backhand in the history of tennis, until the emergence of Ken Rosewall in the 1950s. He is one of the best players in the history of tennis, especially for his consistent game.

Laver is an Australian tennis player, ranked as World No.1 from  1964-1970. He is known for his aggressive groundstrokes and technically flawless. He had a long-running, friendly rivalry with Ken Rosewall, also one of the greatest players of all time. Laver holds the all-time male singles records of 22 titles in a single season (1962) and seven consecutive years (1964–70).

1. Roger Federer

Federer has won 18 Grand Slam singles titles, the most in history for a male tennis player, and held the No. 1 spot in the ATP rankings for a total of 302 weeks. Throughout the US Open in 2007, he was called “Darth Federer” for his all-black attire, and by all means his dominance on- court. The tournament even played  “The Imperial March” from Star Wars when he was announced onto the court for each of his matches. He brakes world record year after year, and still with the age of 35, is the greatest active tennis player of all time.
