White stork(Ciconia ciconia).
Breeds and grows offspring in Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia.
I shot these birds in a village near Sofia.
I’ve been watching the nest for years. Usually there are two little birds.
This year, the young birds are 2. They have grown up and fled from the nest to the chimney where I shot them.
The other good thing is that a new nest is being built next door!
Perhaps next year there will be another couple!
It took me awhile to find it in the tree.
The photo was taken from far away and for that reason …
I agree with Ghostwriter, the white of the stork is the only thing that showed me the bird.
That is the only way I can stand on a level with the bird.
Great to see these birds.
We have many species of birds, but this one is among the most popular!
