What's blooming in your neck of the woods?

Spring has sprung, the days are getting longer and warmer.

I was out in the backyard and was wondering what all is blooming where you live? I decided to take pictures of the flowers in my yard, and thought it might be fun for others to post about what is sprouted, growing or blooming in your area.

#1 Pink and Red

The Bougainvilleas are blooming like crazy. There are two plants here, one hot pink and the other used to be a dark blood red. The colors are mixing!

#2 Ground cover

I have this instead of grass. No mowing required. It only gets a few inches off of the ground.

#3 Stock

This is a volunteer.. The smell is fabulous!! It is growing along with my Mexican Sage. I had a bunch of these blooming last year. They are annuals but the seeds are very easy to get and keep. I have 100's of seeds now, from just one plant.

#4 Cacti

These were outside in the back of a nursery, in the trash. I brought them back and they are happy now. I have two of this color and one small red one. I do not know the name of these cacti. If any one knows feel free to comment.

#5 Columbine flower

The first two blooms appeared on my columbine. This plant is a perennial and comes back each year.

#6 Petunias

Pink and Purple. These are actually mixing, and I am getting this dark purple shade of pink, and the purple ones are getting lighter with a white rim.

#7 Butterfly Bush

My butterfly bush will bloom in summer and last through fall. It is super happy. No blooms yet though.

#8 Big boy

My tomato is blooming but no fruit yet.

Hope you liked this bright tour.

Let's see signs of spring. Post yours!
